ProTacOne, a leader in private security services, is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer. This position is based in the Tacoma area and requires the officer to be on-site; therefore, it is not a remote job opportunity. We are looking for dedicated individuals who wish to contribute to the safety and security of our clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining a secure environment through vigilance and a detailed-oriented approach. As an Unarmed Security Officer at ProTacOne, you will join a team committed to maintaining best practices in the field of security services. This position offers the opportunity to work in various environments, providing critical security services that help protect assets, employees, and clients. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the designated areas to ensure security and safety measures are in full compliance.
  • Monitor property access points and permit authorized entry, ensuring secure and safe premises.
  • Prepare reports on daily observations and incidents, providing detailed information for procedural enhancements.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, observing signs of crime, fire, or disorder.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operate security vehicles and equipment to monitor premises and coordinate communications during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to security operations.
  • Attend and complete required training and staff meetings to enhance security skills and maintain knowledge of best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years for onsite roles; 21 years for patrol positions.
  • Patrol experience, a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (patrol officers must have a personal vehicle).
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and communication.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to remain at assigned post (onsite) or travel between multiple sites (patrol).
  • Physical fitness: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs, navigate various terrains, and get in and out of patrol vehicles frequently.
  • Capable of working outdoors in inclement weather, including rain, cold, and heat.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds if required.
